Isn't it funny, every day is a school day whether you want to learn or not!  But why is it the trivial stuff that stays in your head while the brilliant strokes of genius disappear into air like a brain burp?

For example, every night after 8pm I would hear a whistling sound, every single night! I assumed there was some youth club near by coaching kids to play football, taking them off the streets, reducing crime, bringing something in to the children's lives and promoting the greater good in the world, but my hubby informed me it was the local ice cream van.  Apparently after a certain time at night they are not allowed to play their jingle, so it uses a whistling sound instead....to say I was disappointed in my local council is an understatement.

But the really, really interesting things that happen in your day don't come into your head when you sit down to write a blog (well they don't come easily to mine anyway).  I admit, I am a bit fascinated with blogging, I am fascinated with those people who have a lot of followers, how do they remember their news?  Since I have started to blog I find myself constantly thinking 'Oh now that would be good to write about' but then the interesting story disappears off somewhere, possibly the place socks go or teaspoons......but it just goes.

So I now feel the need to buy a diary, well I have a diary so what I mean is I now feel the need to actually use it.  But to do that I would need to carry it and a pen about, which would require a bag, so already its sounding like too much work ;)

On a more interesting note, we are now kind of a bit like 2 fifths of our target for our giveaway

Taylor Bracelet, 'Aventurine gemstones and sterling silver'
The Taylor bracelet is worth £25 and will be won by one of our Ruby & Rose Jewellery followers.  All we need to do is get to 50 followers and a name will be drawn at random.  If we can do it, then there will be more giveaway goodies in the future, you help us....we treat you!

  1. I often jot down ideas on paper, or even scrawl out whole blogs. I never remember my notepad though, I always just steal paper from wherever I happen to be or whomever I happen to be with. One day maybe I'll have an iphone to do it on LOL

  3. I've tried that too! I know I really need one, some apps would really help me when I'm on the move but for now I think it can wait a few more months. My husband wants me to wait until the Iphone #whatever it is now, comes out so it will cost me less!
